SPF

Protection over correction

Sunscreen is a must for these reasons:

1. UV Protection: It shields your skin from harmful UV rays, preventing sunburn, aging signs, and skin cancer.

2. Prevents Hyperpigmentation: By blocking UV-induced dark spots, it keeps your complexion radiant.

3. Preventative Aging: Sunscreen fights premature aging, including wrinkles and sagging skin. Sun damage is the number one cause of aging!

MAIN SUNSCREEN FORMS:

Sunscreen comes in two primary types:

1. Chemical: These allow the skin to absorb UV rays and are great for daily use. Tend to be more transparent and blendable

2. Physical: They contain minerals like zinc or titanium dioxide which reflect the UV rays before they enter the skin and are great for sensitive skin.

Using Sunscreen Effectively:

  • Generous Application: Cover all exposed skin, including your face, neck, and ears. (About 2 finger-lengths of product)
  • Regular Reapplication: Reapply every 2 hours, especially if you’re swimming, sweating, or in direct sun.
  • Daily Habit: Use sunscreen daily, even on cloudy or winter days, as UV rays can penetrate clouds.
  • Layering: Apply it after your skincare routine but before your makeup.
  • Proper SPF usage is especially important when using any exfoliating actives (Retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, etc.)
