PEPTIDES

YOUR SKIN’S NATURAL BOOSTERS

Peptides are small chains of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins like collagen and elastin. Here’s why they’re crucial for your skin:

  • Collagen Production: Peptides signal your skin to produce more collagen, which keeps it firm and youthful.
  • Wrinkle Reduction: By increasing collagen, peptides help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Hydration: Some peptides can improve your skin’s moisture retention, leading to a plumper, healthier complexion.

Different Peptides for Different Needs:

  • Matrixyl (Palmitoyl Pentapeptide): Known for stimulating collagen production and reducing wrinkles.
  • Argireline (Acetyl Hexapeptide-8): Often called “Botox in a bottle” for its ability to relax facial muscles, diminishing expression lines.
  • Copper Peptides: Not only stimulate collagen but also have antioxidant properties to combat skin aging.
  • Peptide Complexes: These combine multiple peptides for comprehensive skin benefits, from firmness to hydration.

Incorporating Peptides into Your Routine:

AM☀ or PM☾

Apply your peptide-rich product after cleansing and toning but before any moisturizers or oils. Just like anything else in skincare, consistency and patience are needed, but peptides are not an ingredient you will regret incorporating into your routine!

Peptides are gentle on the skin and generally are able to be mixed with any other actives (see Vitamin C below for the one exception).

Consider pairing peptides with these ingredients for enhanced benefits:

Hyaluronic Acid: Boosts hydration, complementing peptides’ plumping effects.

Ceramides: Another hydrating ingredient to boost your barrier while assisting your skin’s collagen synthesis

Vitamin C: Provides antioxidant protection and can enhance the brightening effects of peptides. (Avoid Vitamin C with Copper Peptides)
